Description
With the semi-solid Almansa 403 CW, the Spanish manufacturer expands its extensive classical guitar range, including an electro-Classic instrument with a natural-sounding pickup system and a cutaway. The 403 owes its acoustic sound to an evenly grained red cedar top, which in combination with the laminated mahogany body, produces a very warm and powerful tone. The high-grip mahogany neck with its fine rosewood fretboard is made even more accessible by a cutaway, allowing the player to easily grasp even the highest of the 18 frets. In addition, a finely notched nut with a width of 52 mm and a saddle that is adjusted with millimeter precision ensure a clean intonation over the entire scale length of 650 mm. Nickel-plated tuners adorn the elaborately crafted headstock, which with its detailed ornamentation is not only a visual enrichment but also enables precise tuning of the six strings due to its smooth-running pegs. For unadulterated amplification, the manufacturer relies on a high-quality Fishman Clásica M pickup system, which, in addition to a 3-band equalizer, has an integrated tuner and allows the acoustic sound to be fully accentuated. The instrument is rounded off by a multi-layered red binding, a multi-faceted soundhole rosette, and a noble high-gloss finish.
